How can photography show  the alterations suffered by a territory, following a natural event, on which an emergency management model such as the one put in place in the Abruzzo region, after the earthquake of 6 April 2009?

Antonio Di Cecco's photographic project starts from this question, in order to tell about the discomfort, experienced first hand, and he does it through a slow process of walking through the places he knows, which should lead to rediscover the necessary coordinates to orient oneself in a territory that has become foreign.

The volume consists of 76 black and white photographs and a map of the territory the photographer has come across. The images describe details of a picture that is difficult to return as a whole, and therefore requires an effort of imagination by the observer; we are in Abruzzo but we could be in any other place where a project of abandonment, on the one hand, and construction on the other, take place after the natural catastrophe.
